Another sad weekend...

FIRST SAD STORY... Well it was the State Playoffs this weekend up in Tacoma. As great as our team is, we couldn't pull off making it to the championship game. We Started the day friday morning with a Win over West Seattle followed be a loss to Holy Names and Shadle Park. With only 1 senior graduating next season looks very promising.

SECOND SAD STORY... After coming up to watch my team play and having a fun night in Tacoma with my best friend Shannon, Justin and his best friend Jake left this afternoon to head back to Nebraska. After a 28 hour drive and a loss of 2 hours when the time changes, he will start his new job on Tuesday at Pre-Wel, which is a company that supplies custom equipment and products to companies. Most of their work is with the food industry making custom conveyors for food products. There is no doubt he will excel at this job. He is very talented with his hands and has made numerous projects for school, for various jobs he has held and for family. I am sure going to miss having him around but I can't wait to visit and see what Omaha is like! ha

Its a sad day

Its crazy how fast information can travel these days with all the new technology. I was on Facebook last night and I had noticed that an old teammate had posted a weird status. As a professional FB stalker I started investigating and sure enough it really was true. Late Sunday night, or early Monday morning two friends of mine, two classmates, two people I had grown up with passed away. Ben Stein always had a hard time fitting in for some weird reason. He was a super nice guy and a great athlete, but for some reason the guys just never really accepted him. He was a tough army man, a great father and loved to know how you were doing. Kurtis Cayce was always an odd duck. He too was always trying to find his place throughout school and he nailed in on the head in college. Everyone at WSU loved Kurtis!! I am so glad we spent New Years together and caught up. These two will be missed by so many!!

2nd at districts, 2nd at bi-districts... WE'RE GOING TO STATE!!

It has sure been a crazy two weekends with the softball team!! Last weekend was districts and this weekend was Bi-districts up in Tacoma. My team did AWESOME!! We won 3 our of 4 games. The funny part was having to play Prairie and Union, two teams we faced all season at league and districts! We won the first game 7 to 5, it should have only been 7 to 1, but the umpire decided to change his strike zone!! The second game went into extra innings... we won 5 to 4 or something like that. They walked in the winning run with bases loaded. Our 3rd game against Prairie we also went into extra innings... it shouldn't have again, but we made some stupid errors... we won 7 to 6. The last game against Union would have been a close one if we hadn't again made some stupid errors! We are off to State in Tacoma again next weekend!!

Weekend Visit to Pullman!!

So this past weekend marked my 1 year anniversary of my college graduation. What better way to spend it than being back in the exact same place it started!!?
Friday afternoon Rachael (partner in crime), Kyle (this random guy rachael is keeping around... ha kidding, we went to high school with him), and myself all piled in to Pearl and headed east!
It was graduation weekend and we wanted to be there to wish our friends the best of luck on their new journey's in life after college!! Rachael was there to see Tori and Shari and I was heading over to see the people who balance me out... my best friends Kara and Shannon!!! Here are a few pictures of the weekend!
Rachael asked me to do this.... she called it the windmill
Lefebvre Family... don't mind Scott who ruined the picture

Kara finally graduated!! Hooray!
IntimiDATION

Overall it was a great weekend!! We got up at 6:00 the Sunday morning to head home. I sure felt old being back on Campus. A lot has changed and the kids are younger! I couldn't keep up with the late nights and headed to bed around 11 the first night and 12:30 the next. Shortly following me Rachael came to bed too... I guess I'm not the only one who is getting old! ha
